Kathmandu, Nepal – September 30, 2024 – The Bangladesh International Mediation Society (BIMS) honored the Chief Justice of Nepal with the prestigious Gold Medal for the year 2024. on behalf of BIMS, the award was presented by the Chairperson of the Bangladesh Nepal Mediators Forum and Senior Advocate Mr. Hari Shankar Niraula in a ceremony held at Hotel The Everest in Kathmandu. During the event, the Chief Justice expressed his gratitude for the recognition and acknowledged the significant role of BIMS in promoting mediation as an effective tool for conflict resolution. He also commended the establishment of the Bangladesh Nepal Mediators Forum, recognizing its potential in strengthening ties between the two nations through the practice of mediation. The event was further enriched by the presence of the Member Secretary of the Mediation Council of Nepal, alongside various practitioners in the field of mediation in Nepal.
